Second DJI Osmo 360 sharpness settings and comparison with Insta360 X4 #djiosmo360

A cycle through the 5 texture (sharpness) settings from -2 to +2 and comparison with Insta360 X4.

Distance was 80cm from camera to test board. With a very wide lens like in a 360 camera, I had to zoom in a lot.

All recorded in 8k/25. Dji Osmo 360 in 10 bit Dlog with 85% LUT applied.
Both in highest bitrate that is about 160 MB/s on Osmo and 210 MB/s on X4 (according to MediaInfo).

My Conclusion :

-Sharpness upto 0 look good on the DJI Osmo
- Big Jump in sharpness from 0 to +1 on Osmo even after retest
- Sharpness Medium on X4 already starts to look ugly in my opinion.
- X4 is always more noisy, but retains the structure on the back wall (almost completly gone on the Osmo)
- at the stitch line the X4 is sharper than Osmo
- at 60 degrees Osmo is much sharper than X4 (did I make some mistake here?)
- Auto mode does not use lowest ISO, for example ISO 250 when shutter 250. Is this high iso needed for some sort of HDR effect? Because of higher ISO, we get less sharpness and more noise.
- In Auto mode the Osmo is hardly better than the X4, while when comparing with Iso set to 100, I thought the Osmo was clearly better.
- Why is there no option for setting ISO 100 and Shutter to Auto??!!
- Why is it not possible to set minimum shutter 50 (now only a option in 50p not 25p). I no need always the HDR effect. When I set minimum shutter to 25 then the camera seems to choose minimum 50 anyway, so no big deal.
- SuperNight mode seems a super noise reduction tool, image looks very soft though but not softer than with the noise. So a very good option. But has it a disadvantage in full light?
- I did not see much effect of the NR in camera (maybe because I use Noise Reduction in DJI Studio also)
- Not much difference in Stitching quality between Osmo and X4.

All tests with firmware 01.01.06.40 and DJI Studio 1.0.7 (11658)
