General Electric Theatre: The Return of Gentleman Jim (1955, CBS)
This episode of "GE True Theater" begins with two guys in the boxing business arguing about who was the greatest boxer of all time. One insists that it's Joe Louis--the other the old-time boxer Jim Corbett. Resolving this is impossible, as Corbett fought more than a half century earlier and is dead....or can it? In a goofy twist, Heaven sends Corbett back to Earth to box once with Louis--but there is one proviso--Corbett can't kiss any women.
Cast: George Montgomery, Marilyn Erskine, Murvyn Vye, Jessie White, Sid Saylor, Joe Louis. Host: Ronald Reagan.
