TEDxTijuana - Dr James Gerber - Three things to know about the US-Mexico border
Dr. James Gerber holds bachelor degrees in history and economics and a doctorate in economics from the University of California, Davis. His fields of concentration are economic history, development economics, and international economics. He has been at San Diego State University since 1985 and is currently a Professor of Economics and Director of International Business. From 2002 to 2009 he served as the Director of the Center for Latin American Studies. Current research interests include the US-Mexico border economy, US-Mexico relations, and Chinese-Latin American economic relations. He has been a visiting professor in Mexico, Canada, Chile and Hungary.
