Airbus Unveils Enhanced 3-Axis Autopilot for H130 Helicopter
Airbus Helicopters, in collaboration with Garmin, has introduced a new 3-axis autopilot system for the H130 helicopter, aiming to enhance safety and precision across all flight phases. This advanced system offers comprehensive support from takeoff to hovering, reducing pilot workload and improving control. Key safety features include visual and audio alerts for speed or altitude deviations, and a LEVEL button that rebalances the aircraft to stable flight, assisting pilots during disorientation or sudden weather changes. Additionally, the autopilot allows pilots to momentarily release controls for tasks such as checking flight documents, thereby increasing operational efficiency.
