Chippa: The Art of Block-Printing

The beautiful patterns on Anju Jewelry's Chippa fabrics are hand-crafted in Jaipur, India. They are created by hand-carving blocks using basic tools and manual drawings. The blocks are then dipped into natural dyes and color patterns are hand stamped onto organic cotton. Bags are quilted and stitched with a protective lining inside.

The word Chippa means, "To Print," and block-printing is known as the oldest form of printing in the world. Anju is committed to providing artisans with consistent work and opportunities and to keeping this ancient form of printing, alive.
