Police confirm teenage boy has died after Hainault sword attack
The Metropolitan police said a 14-year-old boy was killed in a sword attack in Hainault, east London. Five others were injured, including three members of the public and two officers. The Met said the officers sustained wounds that required surgery, while the injuries sustained by two members of the public were not deemed to be life-threatening.
A 36-year-old suspect was arrested 22 minutes after the first call to emergency services, the Met said, after officers fired a stun gun at him. The force confirmed the incident was not terrorism-related
