Showbus Flyby 2020 A40 Beaconsfield including London Routemasters
I am so pleased to finally be able to get out and about to bring you Coverage of the Showbus 2020 Flyby which took place on a stretch of the A40 from Wheatley to Beaconsfield. With a few stops along the route there were opportunities to take photos as the buses passed through.
At High Wycombe there were a number of trade stands to purchase some souvenirs. A nice variety of buses took part from Routemasters, Leylands, Volvos, Bedfords and even a couple of double decker electric buses. The event was also a celebration of 90 years of London Green Line Transport and there were many buses from the London area taking part. If you love your Routemasters then you are in for a treat.
Filming took place in Beaconsfield near to The Royal Saracens Head and The Holtspur and the action comes thick and fast as the buses passed every few minutes creating quite a spectacle and as a bonus the weather stayed dry.
Sorry I couldn't do much about the traffic on the road. Look out for a routemaster who seems to have lost its roof. I have added some captions to help with identification.
Whilst this was certainly not Showbus as we all know and love the organisers are to be congratulated for their original idea which enabled the event to be staged safely. I am sure their efforts were fully appreciated by everyone who has been starved of any events all year.
Most of all an enormous vote of thanks must be given to all the bus owners who willingly brought their buses out for us all to see on the road. I hope they were pleased to be able to get their buses out for a run.
I hope you have enjoyed the action. If you have feel free to like or leave a comment below. Which was your favourite bus attending? Perhaps it was the Metropolitan, the Dennis Lancet or even the Bristol K let me know in the comments section.
You might want to subscribe to my channel where I hope to bring you more action soon when it is safe to get out and about. Thanks for watching I hope you have enjoyed it.
