MV88 iOS Digital Stereo Condenser Microphone Test

Using my favorite duo, Two of Us (James Funk, Drew Harrison), I created this video for my musician friends to hear how the MV88 iOS Digital Stereo Condenser Microphone Test works with iPhones vs the native iPhone mic.

When I first used this mic was on this day, and I was editing some video while they were packing up, and they heard the video and were amazed how different it was to the native iPhone sound from my other iPhone.

I first set up the sound through the app on the iPhone, then just record the video normally, and it works! I'm still working with it, but the sound engineer who worked that day, Perry, helped me with understanding gain and limiters. Also, the recording can be adjusted in post. I created this with Final Cut Pro X, with no sound adjustment at all.

I do not represent Shure Mic's or work for the company, I'm just fascinated with the difference and am enjoying being one step ahead of others who record with iPhones!
