Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea is one of the greatest distance runners of all time. He is also considered by many to be the greatest half marathon runner in history.

Over the course of Tadese's career, he ran 11 half marathons under 1 hour, which is more than anyone else in history.

Additionally, Tadese is the first Eritrean athlete to ever medal in the Olympic Games, winning the bronze medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics in the 10,000 meters in a time of 27:22.

Tadese is a distance running superstar, with one of the highest running economies in history.
