Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has questioned the prospects for future peace negotiations after Britain, France and Germany reaffirmed military support for Ukraine, including cooperation on long-range strike capabilities and missile defense systems.
Speaking in Moscow alongside Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, Lavrov said Russia remains open to negotiations but argued that expanding military assistance to Kyiv makes meaningful talks increasingly difficult.
Lavrov also referred to previous discussions between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as subsequent security consultations involving Russian, Ukrainian and American representatives.
His remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts, continued fighting in Ukraine, and renewed discussions in Washington over additional sanctions targeting Russia.
