This DSLR Ha Filter Can Improve YOUR Astrophotography

Clip-in H-Alpha Filter for your DSLR

The Astronomik 12nm H-alpha filter is a great way to collect isolated wavelengths of light in hydrogen-alpha.

This filter lets you capture astrophotography images under bright moonlight, and create captivating images with small stars in h-alpha. The image can later be added to existing full-color projects, or stand-alone is a dramatic deep-sky portrait in black and white.

A modified DSLR camera (full spectrum modification) will allow even more h-alpha signal to reach the sensor, but a stock camera can also benefit from a hydrogen-alpha filter.

In this video, I share a number of example images using a clip-in Hα filter on my Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR camera using camera lenses and telescopes.
