Rocket League Gameplay No commentary 1080p 60fps

No need to ask for my permission if you wanna use the video. Go ahead, you don't even have to credit me.

Rocket League is a very fun and non frustrating game, perfect if you're looking for a game to play with friends, whether you have time for just a few games or dozens.
Rocket League allows for: 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and 4vs4.
My opinion on the game.

I don't like football, I don't have a driving licence, and yet, somehow, I like Rocket League.

First off, and it is likely what makes it stand out from among other multiplayer games, the game is incredibly fair and non-frustrating.

In Rocket League, every single one of the unlockables is almost purely cosmetic, and doesn't have a significant impact on the gameplay.
Every player's car has the same stats, and I think, only the hitbox of each car slightly varies.

What this means, is that, there are only two factors that will make that a team is better than the other: skill and teamwork.
If you loose, it is, in most cases(because luck has a significant role in this game), either because your team wasn't working, or that you and/or your teammates had a lower overall skill than the other team.

This goes against the (IMO very frustrating) current trend of many multiplayer games in which you will not be able to fully compete with other players until you unlock every single item in the game. Because it is your character/car
itself that is sub-par compared to the one of people who played the game for longer.

You no longer have to bother working to get unlocks, you can simply play the game right off the bat and enjoy it thoroughly.
Which also makes the game non-frustrating, as in RL, someone could not beat you due to the advantage given by their unlocks.

The gameplay itself as well is pure fun.

Mastering the timing, the different techniques(such as gliding or using the boost to make you temporarily fly), as well as being able to get the proper angle when hitting the ball, take a long time to properly execute, but are
very satisfying to learn and master.

Furthermore, teamplay is heavily encouraged, and you will find that playing with your friends is much more satisfying than with randoms.
I would say that, in general, teamwork prevails on individual skill, a very good player could not take on a team of average but well coordinated players.

And the effort/reward balance is very well respected. There is no technic that is overpowered, in proportion to how much effort and skill is required.

The game's pace is also perfect for its gameplay.
While 5 minutes might seem an incredibly short time(no double meaning here) to play a game in which each team member can have a specific role to play, it further makes it fun and non-frustrating.

Due to how quickly the ball can get from one side to the other, 5 minutes gives you plenty of time to use strategies or try several times to score.
It makes it that you can very quickly find a game to play, whether it'd be for a short time or long one.
It also makes it more interesting, as teams can be changed every game, thus, making the players adapt to the new team and keeping it interesting.

Furthermore, since a game lasts only 5 minutes, it reduces the amount of time during which a team might absolutely dominate the match, making it frustrating for the other team.
I was, however, disappointed, by the lack of an integrated playlist.
I really dislike the soundtrack, it feels to me like it is something you'd hear on the radio and doesn't fit the game at all, and to make it worse, you have tracks only on the title screen.
While it might be bothering you for the first part of the game, during which you gradually discover and learn the basics, but it tends to make it somewhat dull when you are playing your 30th game with nothing but the
screams of the audience and the sound of the engines.

Furthermore, although the game currently has 4 maps, they are pretty much the same, save for the scenery change.
While the map layout, basically a football field, is perfectly suited for the game, I feel like there could have been some variety, simply by changing the football field's length.

As of such, I feel like the repetitivity might become a severe issue for the game.
Only the gameplay, although very fun and good, keeps it interesting, while the rest of the game lags behind, and offers less content.

I also wanted to mention that the game on PC allows for online multiplayer split-screen, therefore you can play with one of your friends online on the same PC, which is a welcomed addition to the game.
In conclusion, Rocket League is a ton of fun to play on the short team, it is one of the most fun I've had playing a multiplayer game in quite a bit of time.
However, I feel like, on the long term, the game will get too repetitive, although not because of its gameplay, but because of both a lack of music during the game as well as a lack of diversity in the level design.
