Red Ken Gets the Blues

As Londoners prepared to vote in a referendum for the new Greater London Authority, the BBC made this documentary covering the final term of the Greater London Council from 1981 to 1986.Narrated by Dawn French (probably because she appears in a Comic Strip parody). Transmitted 7 April 1998.

Conservative government figures: Patrick Jenkin, Lord Bellwin, Kenneth Baker, Peter Davis.
