My oldest son and I set out for a multi-day backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail through the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The terrain was friendly; however, the water sources were severely lacking due to dry conditions. We cut the trip short by several days, but will return when conditions are a little more favorable.
