Cardiff Singer of the World 2019 - The Week Ahead Preview

Josie d’Arby and Elin Manahan Thomas presented this preview of the 2019 Cardiff Singer of the World competition on the opening weekend of June 15, and were joined by a host of famous faces from the opera world, including competition patron Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, jury members Wasfi Kani, Frederica Von Stade, Felicity Lott, and opera legends Renée Fleming and Bryn Terfel.
This program includes a tribute to the late Dmitri Hvorostovsky, who passed away in 2017. Dmitri was the 1989 competition winner and this year's Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize was presented in his honour.
