Kenya's Diaspora Votes : How The IEBC Can Increase Diaspora Votes.

According to an audit report on the registration of voters from Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the number of registered voters in the diaspora in 2022 is 10,444. This is a huge increase from 2017 where we had 4,223 registered voters in the diaspora. Registration of Kenyans living is diaspora constitutes 0.05% of the register of voters.

This piece by Wambui Mwaura is an evaluation of how the IEBC can look into increasing voting centres and Kenyans in Diaspora agitating for the change in the law to accommodate all Kenyans living abroad by either allowing them to vote online or increase the number of voting station in each diaspora country.
