In 2022, Wizard of the Coast announced what first seemed to be a new edition called, ONE D&D. Later on we we're informed that One D&D was not just a new edition, but a continuation of Dungeons and Dragons fifth edition. This updated edition has raised eyebrows and caused confusion among this Updated 5e. Some call it D&D 6th Edition, 5.5, but WOTC has stated that ONE DND is officially called "DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS 2024 5TH EDITION", again stating its a updated version of the 2014 PLAYERS HANDBOOK and core rules. What does this mean for new players trying to get into D&D with the new edition RELEASING IN MAY? Should new fans play 2014 5e or wait for the new rules to be released?
