Dr. Joanna McGrenere elected as Royal Society of Canada Fellow
Dr. Joanna McGrenere has been elected as a 2025 Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada for her excellence in research and innovation.
Dr. McGrenere is the Co-Head of UBC’s Department of Computer Science and a researcher in the human-computer interaction field. She is an expert in interactive technology design for diverse groups of users, including older individuals and those with disabilities, helping them more easily interact with feature-rich software. Her research has advanced our understanding of adaptive and accessible technology design.
