Southern California scenes 1950s - Wayfarers Chapel, San Juan Capistrano.

Restored 16mm amateur silent movie featuring scenes of southern California filmed in 1957. It starts with the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes which was designed by Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright) and opened a few years earlier in 1951. Then there is a brief scene in downtown San Juan Capistrano including the Trading Post store. The Mission at San Juan Capistrano is next. The closing clip is taken from a car on the El Camino Real highway near the San Clemente railroad depot with a northbound Santa Fe railway train en route from San Diego to Los Angeles.
