Rush - The Spirit Of Radio - Drum Cover (David Suriani)

Another attempt at a covering Neil Peart. "The Spirit of Radio" is the opening track on Rush's 1980 release "Permanent Waves". I took some liberties towards the very end with some different fills and had some fun with it. Thanks for watching! (Note: I do not own any rights to this, I am merely playing it for the enjoyment of the music!)

Drums: Gretsch Renown Maple RN1 - 20, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18. Ludwig Black Beauty Supraphonic Snare with Puresound Custom Pro Brass Snare Wires.

Heads: Evans- HD Dry (Snare Batter), 200Hazy (Snare Side), G2 Clear (Tom Batters), G1 Clear (Tom Resos), EMAD2 (Kick Batter)

Cymbals: Zildjian - 8" K Custom Dark Splash, 10" A Custom Splash, 14" K Custom Dark Hi Hats, 16" K Custom Dark Crash, 18" K Custom Dark Crash, 18" K Dark Crash, 18" A Custom China, 19" K Custom Dark China, 22" K Custom Dark Ride.

Hardware: Gibraltar Cymbal Stands and Rack, DW9002 Kick Pedal, Kickport port holes.

Mics: Shure Beta52 (kick), Shure sm57 (snare top/bottom, 16" and 18" floor toms), Shure Beta56 (8", 10", 12", 14" rack toms), AKG c451 (Hi Hats), M-Audio Pulsar II (overheads), AKG Perception 420 (room).

Recording Hardware: 20' Mogami XLR cables, Rapco 24 channel snake, PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 AI mixing board, Apple iMac 27" (3.5GHz i7 processor, 16gb RAM).

Recording Software: Apple Logic Pro X.

Video Editing Software: Adobe Premier CS6.
