Study Of 10 Sefirot: Chapter 2/3 - Masach and Ohr Hozer: How the Corrected Vessel Is Born

What happens when Infinite Light tries to enter a vessel that has chosen not to receive for itself?

In this lesson, we explore the hidden mechanism of Masach / מסך, Zivug de Hakaa / זיווג דהכאה, and Ohr Hozer / אור חוזר — the process that creates the corrected vessel.

FULL DESCRIPTION

In this third Chapter 2 lesson on Talmud Eser Sefirot / תלמוד עשר הספירות, we explore one of the most important mechanisms in the entire wisdom: the birth of the corrected vessel through Ohr Hozer / אור חוזר, Returning Light.

The lesson begins after the first Tzimtzum / צמצום. Malchut of Bechina Dalet, the completed will to receive, chooses not to receive for itself in order to reach equivalence of form with the Creator. Because there is no light without a vessel, the light departs and the Chalal Panui / חלל פנוי, the empty space, is formed.

But the upper light does not change. It remains in absolute rest and continues to bestow. This means the Ohr Yashar, the Direct Light, continues to approach the vessel.

Here the Masach / מסך appears. The Masach is not the same as Tzimtzum. Tzimtzum is the original decision or policy not to receive selfishly. Masach is the active spiritual screen that enforces that decision when the light returns.

When Ohr Yashar reaches the Masach, a paradoxical meeting occurs called Zivug de Hakaa / זיווג דהכאה, the coupling by striking. The vessel deeply desires the light, but the Masach refuses to receive it directly. This simultaneous pull and rejection gives birth to Ohr Hozer, Returning Light.

This Ohr Hozer becomes the new Kli / כלי, the corrected vessel. Since it is created through the refusal to receive for oneself, it has equivalence of form with the Creator. The upper light can then clothe within it safely.

This is the secret of Kabbalah al Menat Lehashpia — receiving in order to bestow.

The central message: true spiritual reception is not passive intake. It is created through restraint, intention, and returning light.
