🛳️ CRUISING FROM FORT LAUDERDALE ON SOUTH FLORIDA'S WATER TAXI CRUISE OF THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY

Today, we're riding the Fort Lauderdale water taxi, which we always see from our apartment balcony, and take a boat ride along the intracoastal waterway, the unique 'river' that runs all along south Florida and all the way up the east coast. We've done this before, but never this way before, which you'll see beautiful waterfront luxury homes and mansions, and large yachts, super yachts and even a couple mega yachts! We highly recommend riding the double decker water taxi, it's worth the wait. The Fort Lauderdale water taxi costs $35/person, unless you're riding it after 5:00 PM, then it's only $20/person–saving you $15/person, which is huge! To complete all of the water taxi stops takes about 3 hours, it's a lot of fun, especially if you're riding the water taxi for the first time. The water taxi crew are more like tour guides giving you lots of cool facts about the homes, yachts, intracoastal waterway, and Fort Lauderdale. There are also drinks/snacks available for purchase onboard the water taxis. If you catch the double decker around 5:15 PM you'll definitely catch the downtown sunset, which is incredible, especially when sitting at the back of the water taxi! If you want to get off at the downtown Las Olas 1 stop there are tons of shops, restaurants, souvenir shops, and many hangout areas along the New River that cuts through the heart of downtown.
