2021 (1921 by The Who) - Mitch Sumner

This was very spur of the moment. In trying to decide how to spend my New Year's Eve by myself, it occurred to me how appropriate this tune would be, and how it would be 100 years before it was so again. And I don't plan on living that long.

Last year, my new year's resolution was to become a better singer by doing exercises and recording and critiquing my singing every day. It certainly didn't happen every day, but there were many frustrating moments of listening back, incredulous to how I could sound so bad when I swore I was hitting the right pitches at the time. I kept at it regardless. There is certainly a ton of work left to be done, but there is no way I could have sang a song of this level of difficulty, never having played it before, a year ago. So there's a lesson there I suppose. Stick to it kids! Whatever it is you are looking to improve about yourself. Unless you think I sound like trash, in that case, don't stick to it. Give up I guess.

Should I do more stripped down songs like this in 2021? Let me know in the comments. Requests welcome too.
