Akram Khan Company - Moving Stories: The Teacher Training Programme

With the support of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Teacher Development Fund, we are very excited to be curating a programme for schools in Tower Hamlets, London.

For over a year now, we have been developing a remarkable bond with primary schools in Tower Hamlets, and instilling the importance of movement within education.

Our two-year project, Moving Stories - The Teacher Training Programme, takes our approach to movement and storytelling, and combines it with the expertise of classroom teachers. Our aim is to explore how dance can support children to think, feel and learn in powerful ways, embodying their knowledge in a way that, to us, feels like a fundamental part of education and intrinsic to the human experience.
