Converting from grid north to magnetic north
Short video explaining how to convert from grid north to magnetic north. You need to know how to do this conversion when working with paper maps because paper maps use grid north but your compass always points to magnetic north. The USGS Quadrangle map used is McGaheysville, VA 1999 and the companion hiking video is Rocky Mount.
