Jump Played by Drum Student Garrett

I like to give students the opportunity to record the songs they have learned in lessons. This is the first time a student has learned Jump and I thought it went well. The hardest part is probably the bell/ride work back and forth but Garrett worked hard and did a good job!

The recording was done in one take with a multiple camera switcher. Wait to go Garrett!

There are a lot of other students practicing their songs right now so I hope to use the same process of recording and getting them posted once they have learned them.

Jump is a timeless song that everyone has at least heard once in their lives so perhaps I will continue teaching it for the more advanced students. It has some great fills, a driving beat, and some odd timing elements with the ride and crashes that push the learning of the students.
