Skjolden til Lærdal

This is the final video in this look at Fjord Norway, captured on a very foggy morning. I've stayed in Skjolden 5 times so I've included photos from all those trips as the area is perfect. I always find it calming when I come here and there's so much to see and do.

The roads leading out of Skjolden head off towards the high Hurrungane peaks, the glaciers of Jostedalsbreen, historic churches and incredible hikes. There are massive waterfalls everywhere and watching the sunset on the banks of Lustrafjorden never gets old. The opening 6 minutes of this drive hopefully sum up how magical this part of Norway is.

After the fog lifts, this drive also showcases some great modern engineering via the new Loftesnes Bridge and Amla Tunnel, the latter being especially dramatic. Oh, and there's a ferry! The video then ends on a short montage of the route beyond Lærdal and into Bergen (then Aberdeen, sort of).
