Here is the second part of my process of some fan art for Dreamwork's Dragons Challenge!

In this section, I begin to work on more of the details of the trees, earth and stone. My challenge here was to incorporate the same style as the concept art in HTTYD's Art Book, but ended up with a more rough translation. The art behind the movie is so detailed and rich with emotional properties that I couldn't even begin to convey it as much as I would have liked! But my goal was to convey the depth and richness of the Island of Berk, and I believe I've done that with this piece.
