In Between? The Polish-Lithuanian borderland

In Between? is an educational project started by European Network Remembrance and Solidarity in April 2016 and continued in 2017. The participants are given a unique opportunity to learn collecting and documenting oral stories. Gaining both interdisciplinary, theoretical knowledge and practical skills, they collect audio- and video recordings of individual historical narrations, as well as scans of domestic photography archives in order to share them with museums and historical archives. In the study visit in Polish-Lithuanian borderland in July 2017 participated Kacper Awzan, Jan Charvát, Katarzyna Choroszucha, Antonia Foldes, Ugnė Makauskaitė and Miona Prokic. The group was leaded by Zhanna Vrublevska (ENRS). The audiovisual documentation is avaiable to be used by museums, historical organisations and archives in educational purposes. The project is organised by ENRS in cooperation with the strategic partners, including the National Film Library - Audiovisual Institute and the National Digital Archive. In Polish-Lithuanian borderland we collaborated with Lithuanian House in Sejny, “Pogranicze” Foundation in Sejny, Polish Institute in Vilnius, Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum. In Between? project in 2017 was co-funded by the International Visegrad Fund.
