Footage was taken in July 2021 at Kidepo Valley National Park, Karamoja Province in northern Uganda. We stayed at Kidepo Savannah Lodge for four nights. Two full days we explored the Narus Valley where one of the highest densities of African Buffalo exist. Mammals were abundant on the Narus plains with, besides Buffalo, good numbers of Zebra, Hartebeest, Reedbuck, Oribi and Kob. White-eared Kob, Grey Duiker and Common Eland were also seen. Giraffes were quite rare and almost all Elephants had left the park during the rainy season. We heard the Lions roaring every night from Savannah Lodge but we could not find them during the day. 5 Spotted Hyena were seen as well as 2 Cheetah!
One day we went up to Kidepo Valley. Rains were frequent but will still managed to go up North towards South Sudan. There, we enjoyed stunning views towards Kidepo Game Reserve in South Sudan and explored the little visited Kidepo Valley. Birdlife was prolific in Kidepo Valley.
