EIDL Grant - Why You Got Skipped. (FREE $10,00 Grant)

So you applied for the EIDL Loan and the EIDL Grant but you only got the loan offer but no grant? What?! You may have been contacted by the SBA with a loan offer but you have yet to receive the EIDL Grant of $1k to $10,000. The word on the street is that EIDL Grant is determined by the number of employees you. So it's $1,000 per employee for the EIDL Grant. Well... If you haven to gotten your EIDL grant yet and you're wondering why you got skipped... let me break down as to why you got skipped... enjoy!

Okay, so you applied for the EIDL Loan but you didn't get the EIDL Grant... The process for the EIDL grant and the EIDL loan are the same. But to receive the EIDL Grant, you would have had to check a box that said "I would like to be considered up to $10,000 advance:" (Paraphrased).
If you did NOT check that box, you will not get the EIDL Grant.

Also, if you entered in an incorrect bank account and routing number, you would not get the EIDL Grant or the money was sent to the wrong bank account (oops!)

Another reason you didn't get the EIDL grant is that you put in 0 or no employees in the application. Remember, you count as an employee in your business (if you pay yourself payroll).

So those are some of the reasons why you didn't get the EIDL Grant when you applied for. ($1,000 to $10,000 Grant)

But now you're asking... Well, how can I go back and re-apply or fix my application? Well, here are my OPINION as to how you can start to fix this.

1. Re-Apply with the correct information. This works if you JUST recently applied not too long ago and you're wanting to fix it. There's a rumor on the streets that if you apply twice, they'll simply merge or update your old application.

2. Contact SBA for detailed instructions as to how you can fix it.
This is probably the better bet as I don't speak in behalf of the SBA. Contact them and let hem know that you have updated information and that you would like to correct it. Of course, you will need to have your application number available before you call.

Remember guys, the EIDL stands for Economic Injury Disaster Loan. This is NOT a freebie loan that's given out to businesses like candy. This is a LOAN for businesses that are struggling and they need dire help to stay afloat and recover from the pandemic. This is NOT meant to be used for expansion, buying new properties, buying new cars, or paying yourself a bonus.
