PRE-POLISH GEM FIRE AGATE

In this video I share some fire agates that are in the works and nearly ready for final shaping and polishing. The main problem with cutting fire agates is the fact that gems are few and far between.

I do my best to only cut stones to a point and if I see it is not going to cut a gem I put it aside to sell other cutters. I cut mostly for my pleasure and not for money, all of my stones are for sale so I have made some pretty good money over the years.

Being uncommon gem fire agates are searched for by top jewelers. I feel that top fire agates are as amazing as black opal and in fact a friend that deals in black opal said the first time he saw some gem fire agate “these are as fine as top blacks.” I can't argue with that statement.
