Astrophotography Stacking! The beginners guide.
Update May 21!
I am slowly in the process of demonetizing all my videos, I was never in it for the money or the glory. I just like to help people. This way you can rest assured i'm not making a video only to trigger an algorithm or as click bait. I have been a bit disillusioned with it all lately, and hopefully this will help.
Instead if you wish to support me you can buy me a coffee or beer instead :) entirely your choice though!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This video is all about basic stacking for astrophotography, it goes into a bit of the theory of stacking and will show you how to do a stack in Deep Sky stacker. Also why are more frames better than less frames. Basically its the stacking for beginners primer !
Its also my birthday today :D
(luna makes a quick appearance)
Points to take away:
-“stacking does not reveal more data that isn’t there in the first place” it’s up to you how long your exposures are...but if you don’t do a long enough exposure to capture that faint and fuzzy detail in the first place, no amount of stacking will bring that out.
-stacking allows us to reveal faint stuff by preserving its signal while we smooth out the surrounding noise
-so basically more subs please (of sufficient exposure length 😉)
