Interview- Ranjeet answers to comments on Rashmi Vs Sophia (GYV)

This video is rightly the sequel of our previous upload --Indian Humanoid ready to challenge Sophia. We dont intent to compare
the intellect of creators rather compare the capabilities of robots that are close to human behaviour.
In the previous Video there are close to 1000 comments, some of which appreciate the maker and some of which complain about speed and looks. Here we are presenting the same Rashmi Robo in new attire with a detailed interview of Ranjeet Srivastava.
Any one can follow #Rashmirobo on twitter and instagram to remain updated about the developments.
Last time we presented Rashmi robo as the worlds first multilingual humanoid, Now India earns the distinction of having World's first Radio Jokey humanoid.
Rashmi has successfully hosted Red FM show, ask rashmi for 15 days and has been appreciated by the engineers at IIT Delhi. Humanoids are the latest buzz word in the field of Robotics and AI. Sophia, the first social humanoid developed by Hong Kong based Hanson Robotics stole the show by making appearance on television and internet. in mid march 2016.
Though many experts consider it as a simple chatbot--it inspired many around the globe to engage and develop better finer versions of robots that would be close in appearance and behaviour to humans.
In India Ranjit Srivastava of Ranchi city in Jharkhand is one among the many to be inspired by Sophia and come up with his refined version of RASHMI--the worlds first multilingual humanoid which converses with equal dexterity in English and Hindi. She is prepared to be scripted in Bhojpuri and Marathi though the developer is yet to incorporate these language skills as of now.
Rashmi is unique in several other ways. She has emotional understanding and mood levels. Like most humans she believes in God and is ready to learn things. Her mood level is determined by the history of interaction she has had with any person whom she remembers using her face recognition and speech recognition software. She catalogs people she meets and remembers them by their facial features.
While interacting she maintains eye contact and to top them all she has perfect lip sync while speaking in english.
Her developer Ranjit is a graduate in business administration and also holds a master degree in Business Administration. having no background of engineering or technology he learnt it on his own to develop the software. Being an artist he created the face and bust. Unlike Sophia which was introduced to the outer world just as a face Rashmi has got torso and functional hands. She greets people and is all prepared to walk once her master gives her the required legs. At present she is static but programmed to walk alongside talking.
Ranjit says that he dreams of the day when she sits across table with several people and the onlookers fail to identify as a robot one day. She demonstrates various facial expressions by the use of actuators which is also known as robotic muscle.
Developed within two years and at an unbelievably low cost, Rashmi is the point of attraction for many. While she is yet to compete with the sister robots at the global level, she has already become a sensation among the tech fraternity in India.
Global Youth Voice is introducing the social humanoid to encourage more and more youngsters to come forward with similar projects and analyse the expertise of an amateur engineer who can be the inspiration for many.
