Carlos Boozer 35 points vs Rockets - Game 7 - 5/5/07

Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer delivered a Game 7 road win, scoring 35 points to go with 14 rebounds and 5 assists as the Utah Jazz defeated the Houston Rockets 103-99 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals for the first time in 7 years.

Boozer scored his game-high 35 points on 13-23 shooting from the field and 9-12 from the foul line. Perhaps more impressive than his raw numbers, was the display of competitive greatness he showed in leading his team to the first Game 7 road win in franchise history. Each time Houston made a run, it was Boozer who answered with momentum-shifting baskets and offensive rebounds. In the 2nd-qtr with Houston on an 11-2 run, Boozer went on a dunking barrage (2:37-mark) to help Utah take a 10-point lead into halftime. In the 4th-quarter with Houston in front 84-80, Boozer scored 8 of Utah's next 11-points (5:25-mark) to turn a 4-point deficit into a 3-point lead. Booze concluded the game by grabbing the game's two biggest offensive rebounds (6:59-mark) in the final 90-seconds and calmly made 2 free throws with 19.9 seconds remaining that gave Utah a 4-point lead.

The Jazz became just the 19th team in playoff history to win a Game 7 on the road and just the 7th-team since 2001 to win a playoff seriers after trailing 0-2.

The 4th-seeded Utah Jazz would advance to face the 8th-seeded Golden State Warriors in the 2nd-round.
