Visit the historical town and Abbey of Farfa, Italy with me! Just outside Rome, Farfa is a tiny village located in the Sabine Hills. This is a great day trip outside the city and worth a visit to see the abbey and library. You can even stay here, if you like!
How to get here?
It is easiest by car and you can park in the free lot across the street. For public transit, you can take the train to Fara Sabina, walk to the Montelibretti bus station just outside, wait for the Cotral bus that says Poggio Moiano | Zona Industriale Osteria Nuova, ride about 25 minutes and get off at Fara Sabina | Farfa.
Guided tours are performed hourly every day except on Monday:
10:00 - 1:00 PM | 3:30 - 6:30 (Sat. and Sun. 3:00-7:00 PM during summer)
