Umbrella Academy - The Meaning of Klaus!

This video takes a deep dive into the meaning our favorite character Klaus Hargreeves. He may seem shallow but the guy has a lot of depth, sort of, I think.

Klaus Hargreeves is a member of the world famous Umbrella Academy. A group of children who were adopted by reclusive genius inventor Reginald Hargreeves, all born spontaneously of different mothers around the world at the same moment who had no clue they were pregnant before beginning labour. Yeah I know. All the kids also seem to have super powers except for Vanya! Klaus is called number 4 by his adopted father who doesn’t care to name his children. He was also named Klaus by the android nanny known as “Mom”. In the Comics Klaus is Known as The Seance because of his spooky ability to commune with the dead. I don’t really go into it in the video but Klaus’ powers in the comics are actually way more impressive but I didn’t want the video to be too confusing so I chose to keep it simple. I know what you’re thinking, “This is all kind of insane”, well, you’re right, but that’s nothing new for comic books. This video dives into Klaus’ character and also goes into a little of what I think his story arc is about. Honestly, watching the show I wasn’t hugely into Klaus as a character but in making the video I’ve sort of developed a newfound respect for him, he is more interesting than he first appears and he goes through a lot. His story is really relatable, and human. Without spoiling the video I will say Klaus was monumentally screwed up by his upbringing but in the 21st century isn’t everyone monumentally screwed up by their parents who were screwed up by their parents and so on and so forth? BTW I know this video is late but full disclosure this is my first ever youtube video, and first ever time doing anything like this so it took longer than I expected. And I really did take a lot of time trying to make this enjoyable for you.
