The Battle at Crossbarry
On March 19th 1921 the largest military engagement of the Irish War of Independence took place at Crossbarry, Cork.
We have pieced together a short video explaining the complex tactical battle that took place as Tom Barry and the Cork 3rd Brigade Flying Column attempted to evade capture from the surrounding Crown Forces.
