RVing Canada's East Coast pt 1 - Cabot Trail AND PEI Ferry

It's time to drive our FAVORITE route while RVing Canada's East Coast! Through Cape Breton Island's Cabot Trail to the free ferry to PEI. RVing Canada at it's finest.🍁

Hello and welcome back to the RV vlog everybody. As sad as it was to say goodbye to Newfoundland at least we're back in our favorite Eastern Canada area again otherwise! Cape Breton Island and all of the Highlands area is so beautiful. Knowing that abandoned campsite was right at the base of the Cabot trail we figured it would be a good spot to spend a second night at as we begin the journey across Canada the other way. I had bought oil and a filter and a pan and everything to do our own RV oil change on our 23ft class C RV as none of the shops I tried in Sydney said they could handle a 23ft RV... None the less it was an easy process and with a remote Boondocking site for the night it was an easy job.

The next morning we got to take the RV with fresh oil up and through the Cape Breton National park area and the world famous Cabot Trail drive again. We absolutely loved the views, as you can tell. When we drive through the first time we stopped and did the popular Skyline Trail walk as well so check that out if you're looking for a little more in depth stuff on the Cabot area. After enjoying the park and enjoying the drive up and around through it, it was getting time to find another Boondocking site. We originally wanted to visit a cute lighthouse we had stayed at before, but it proved to be too far if a drive for us in one day so we chose to camp at a harbor called Pig's Cove. In Eastern Canada we found harbors make for easy one night RV Boondocking sites as boat launches always have room for trucks, and the rock walls block the wind well as a bonus!

After Cabot trail our next goal on our favorite route to drive out east involved catching the FREE ferry to Prince Edward Island. Whether by bridge or ferry it is free to get on to PEI, so we wanted to take advantage of that and let the RV have another ferry ride. It was an hour and a half ferry , we are a 23 foot RV and it was still FREE and yet the bridge was only like a 2 hour drive away... I don't get their business sense there but much appreciated Pictou Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

After the ferry we settled into Walmart for the night to get the last RV travel vlog up to you guys, and I was on dinner duty! Putting a little RV cooking skills of my own to work I made my own roux and pasta sauce with pan fried chicken thighs for a macaroni dish. Alysha was hard at work on the vlog so it was my duty!

Next video we continue RVing across Canada to the West, while exploring Prince Edward Island more. More of the RV living lifestyle while we travel Canada. We find a great free campsite at a beautiful lighthouse we drone too so stay tuned for that haha.

Anyway hope you guys liked today's RV vlog, be sure to show the love and hit the like if you did, and subscribe to the journey if you haven't!
