HOW TO SKI FROM AUSTRIA INTO SWITZERLAND - FROM ISCHGL INTO SAMNAUN (NO PASSPORT REQUIRED!)

Last year I enjoyed a fabulous skiing holiday in Austria, in the beautiful ski resort of Ischgl in the Austrian Alps, which is famous for its yearly rock concerts. The exciting thing about Ischgl is that it borders with Switzerland and you can ski from this Austrian resort straight into the Swiss resort of Samnaun in neighboring Switzerland, no passport required. Both resorts are top notch and this cross-border skiing makes the vacation even more exciting somehow. This video shows how to physically ski from Austria into Switzerland. There are two ways to do it - one of which includes skiing the famous piste number 80 which is nicknamed the 'duty free run'! It's 11 km long (7 miles) and beautiful to ski. There's no passport control and nobody manning the border - it's the easiest and most fun thing. And you can try different native dishes in the different countries - like a fondue in Switzerland and a Vienna schnitzel in Austria. Ischgl's motto is 'relax if you can' - it's a great one and really fits!
