Session 3- part 2 | How to give a Story point. |

A Story Point is a relative unit of measure used to estimate the size or effort needed to complete a user story or task.
What it measures:
Complexity
Amount of work
Uncertainty or risk
(NOT directly time like hours or days)
Who assigns Story Points?
The Development Team during backlog refinement or sprint planning.
How it works:
Teams often use a scale like Fibonacci sequence (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21...) to estimate.
A small, simple story might be 1 point, a large, complex story might be 8 or 13 points.
Why use Story Points?
Faster than estimating in hours.
Reduces arguments about "how long it will take" — focus on effort, not exact time.
Helps in calculating velocity (average points completed per sprint) for future planning.
