FETC ETC’s system was commissioned by Taiwan government to replace the manual toll collection by an electronic system under a BOT contract, which has moved Taiwan to flexible road pricing, driven efficiency through technology and service innovation.

This system has created significant socio-economic contributions to society, the accumulated 11.4 billion transactions since operation set of big data that can be used for various applications of smart transportation. Most importantly, it is becoming the fundamental infrastructure of IoT and Smart City.
