This is my review of the CineStill 800 Tungsten High Speed Colour Negative Film. What makes this film unusual is that this is actual Kodak cinema film used in the movie industry, but specially modified to be C-41 chemistry safe. This means you can run it down to your local 1 hour lab and get this film processed without any special instructions or procedures (unless you push or pull process your film). Although not necessary, when combined with lenses that have a cinematic rendering (like Leica M lenses or actual cinema lenses), the images are amazing. For this review I used the Leica M-A and the 35mm f/1.4 Summilux Aspherical, and it worked really well with this high speed ISO 800 film for night photography. Please enjoy this review and my previous video review of the Leica M-A and 35mm Lux where I show images taken with the CineStill film as well as Fujifilm Pro 400H and ACROS 100. Thanks for watching and happy shooting.
