2025 Audi Sedan Driving, Exterior, and Interior
Since its introduction in 1996, the Audi A3 has consistently led the pack in the premium compact car category. The latest version of the A3 introduces forward-thinking design elements, an upgraded array of standard features, and new choices in materials. This model allows users to access specific functionalities directly through the car's display, provides innovative daytime running light configurations, and facilitates the addition of car functions on demand, tailoring the driving experience to individual preferences.
On the outside, the A3 retains its classic contours while incorporating modern updates. The front grille now features a hexagonal design, typical of newer Audi models, complemented by enlarged air intakes and adorned with the iconic Audi logo. Additionally, the vehicle offers enhanced lighting options, including LED and matrix LED technologies, with four distinct daytime lighting patterns. The rear design draws inspiration from the RS3, displaying a novel LED tail light design that incorporates black and mesh details.
Inside, the A3 remains impressive with its technology offerings from the previous generation, such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. A new development is the introduction of a subscription model for accessing basic car functions like high-beam assist and smartphone connectivity.
While these subscription services are confirmed for the European A3 models, their availability in the American market remains uncertain as the 2025 launch approaches. The interior layout remains largely unchanged but features sleeker gear shifters, updated fabric patterns on the door panels, and a customizable cabin lighting system with 30 color options.
Performance-wise, the standard model in Europe is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine featuring mild-hybrid technology, capable of delivering 148 horsepower. This engine is available with manual or automatic transmissions. A diesel variant offers comparable horsepower, and a plug-in hybrid model is expected to be released in the future.
The A3 lineup now includes the Allstreet variant, designed to resemble a crossover with its sturdy off-road look, characterized by a matte black grille and protective casings around the wheel arches. This model is slightly taller, providing a more comfortable ride, and offers various wheel designs.
Both the Allstreet and the standard Sportback models offer ample storage space, which can be significantly increased by folding down the rear seats. An electric tailgate is available but comes as an optional extra.
Pricing details for the American market have yet to be released by Audi. In Europe, the Sportback starts at approximately €35,650, with the sedan and Allstreet models priced slightly higher.
