ROOM WITH A VIEW - contemporary dance performance - MN DANCE COMPANY

MN Dance Company presents contemporary dance performance ROOM WITH A VIEW recorded back in December 2014 and one part in november 2015. Since we finished our touring with this dance performance, we are uploading the video, so it can be reached by all of you who wanted to see the performance, but did not make it to the theatres.

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
Michał Rynia and Nastja Bremec, founders of the MN Dance Company, based their show on the novel “Ich nannte ihn Krawatte” (“I Called Him Tie”) by an Austrian writer, Milena Michiko Flašar. It tells of contemporary existence marked by the anxiety brought on by the lack of compassion and difficult human relationships.
Urban Tales is a dance performance that takes it's inspiration in nowadays’ modern society life stories. "Room with a View" is based on a life of an individual and its inner world, while "Tie" is concentrated on its social functioning. Ivan Cankar thought: "a man must be alone in order to know others”, makes difficulty to find its place in the urban society. Even in the shield of its own rooms, an individual it is faced with memories, dreams, frustrations, relationships pieces, fragments of happiness. Solitude gets over flown with loneliness, fantasy replaces the real contact. As the authors prove, random meeting in the park confronts an individual with the society, with a multitude of pressures, roles, system, authority, where at the same time it proves an opportunity to find friendships, love and living new stories.
