Storytime with Martinique Mims & Sequoia Bostick, Reading of Through the Colors of a Butterfly

Read Across America Day is a national celebration that began in 1998 by the National Education Association (NEA) with a way of encouraging children to read. This event later developed into a year-round program, with special celebrations in March, particularly March 2.

This year’s Read Across America Day theme is diversity and inclusion, The Literacy Cooperative highlighted several local authors who were either diverse in their identity or emphasized diversity within their work.
