Thesis Printing & Softbinding

To print and bind my PhD thesis I used Walter Newbury Ltd. They are based in Dagenham (East London) and offer a truly excellent and very friendly service, which I would recommend to anyone. Perhaps not surprising that they have been in business since 1895. To my knowledge and at the time of writing (May, 2015), they are also the only London-based bookbinder who offers a same-day printing, binding and delivery service. I used their one-hour binding service and had three soft-bound copies in less time than that. I put together this video to demonstrate this process, how paper is bound together to form a finished thesis. Having spent years researching and writing this thesis it certainly was satisfying to witness it both printed and bound.
