DUMP TRUCKS #12 -- Dump Trucks & Cold Asphalt Milling Machine Removes Road Surface

Dump Trucks #12 features various dump trucks hauling to and from construction sites in Vernon, British Columbia.

The first stage of the video shows a variety of truck traffic entering and leaving the city on Highway 97N.

Second part of the video features dump trucks and excavation equipment preload consolidating a proposed construction site at the north end of the city. Preload is surcharging the ground with a uniformly distributed surface prior to the construction of the structure. Consolidating is forcing water from the fine-grained soil underneath.

Third part of the video features dump trucks working on a damp summer day, a Wirtgen W1200F Quad Track cold asphalt milling machine loads tandem axle dump trucks with milled granulation. The roadway was pavemed in the early 1980s. Reclaiming reduces construction costs. Underground utilities are being updated.
