UNIMAS-led programme links 23 universities with communities nationwide

READ: A total of 115 students from 23 public universities took part in the Impact Digital Community Tourism (IDCT) 2.0 programme, which has grown into a national platform connecting universities, mentors and communities across Malaysia.

UNIMAS vice-chancellor Professor Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit said the initiative helps communities improve marketing, product visibility and market access through digitalisation and artificial intelligence, making technology a catalyst for competitiveness.

“This effort is aligned with UNIMAS’ 2026–2030 aspirations to produce NextGen Changemakers and strengthen social entrepreneurship development,” he said in his speech during the closing ceremony of the Impact Digital Community Tourism (IDCT) 2.0 programme at The Summer Shopping Mall on Sunday (June 14).
