I tried to recreate a cake from an AI image | Cute Buttercream Cat Cake | Cat Birthday Cake

Here's a cake I attempted from an AI image I came across online 😻 These days AI cakes are all over SM and so many can't tell the difference if they're real or not. In fact I got asked by a few recently if my 'Tomb of Jesus' cake was an AI image 😆
I fell in love with this AI generated image of a Cat Cake 🐈‍⬛ and decided to try it out. I loved the idea of the flowers on the top it was like having just the perfect touch of spring 🌸🌸🌸 I thought if I made it in fondant it would be just too easy so I challenged myself to make it in buttercream instead and me being an absolute beginner at piping flowers just made it even tougher.

- I used an 8" dummy for this project
- For the black buttercream I used Cacao Barry - Black Cocoa powder.
- If you have light pink candy melts for the ears it works perfect. the pink ones I had were a bit darker than what I wanted to achieve so I had to add white choc. You can even freeze the ears when piped for 5-10 mins
- I didn't want to mess up the eyes as I'd already tried to practice pipe them on a sheet and they looked haunting 😳 instead of cute so I opted of making them in fondant instead of buttercream.
- For the muzzle (not sure if thats what its called) I piped the round circles and then waited for 5 mins to let the buttercream crust and then smoothed it out with a baking/parchment paper same with the nose
- The colour used for the flowers are sugar flair melon, wilton rose in light and dark. For the leaves wilton moss green. All the piping tips have been mentioned in the video.
- Freeze your flowers for an hour or two before you add them on to the cake. In my case I was working on a dummy so I took my time and let them air dry at room temp for 6 hrs. The temp we have are currently bet 8 to 13 deg c. So there were 0 chances of the buttercream melting. Also before anyone points out yes I'm not wearing any gloves... again because this cake is a dummy! 🙄
